About me

Having spent many years as a teacher, actor and mum, I am all too aware of the impact that busy and stressful lives can have on our bodies and minds.

I have always loved being active, but towards the end of my teaching career I found that I just couldn’t switch off and never felt truly at ease in myself, physically, mentally or emotionally. Back problems, headaches, poor sleep added to a sense of dissatisfaction that I couldn’t shake and which made everything seem much harder….a vicious cycle. I knew that I needed to take more care of myself, but didn’t have the energy to!

Taking myself for a holistic massage one day was a turning point…allowing skilled hands to unlock tensions in my body, I was struck by how much calmer I felt. It was truly a space for me to unwind the stress and I felt more positive, more energised afterwards. I soon knew that I wanted to explore the massage and its potential, not just for me but to share with others. Research into the best training for this led me to the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork, where I was able to develop my understanding and skills with excellent teachers, combining evidenced based research and theory with extensive practical experience.

I have never looked back….. I love helping people to develop a more positive appreciation, experience and use of their body and in doing so, to take care of their whole being. It is such a privilege to work with a wide range of people and to see everyday the power of skilful touch.
